SmartCASH Airdrop

Yesterday SmartCASH announced the introduction of their new sister coin, Bitcoin Confidential. SmartCASH's initial project was to be a privacy coin, however, the issues raised lately have meant they have shifted the focus of SmartCASH to be wholly on the mass adoption of merchant transactions.

Bitcoin confidential is a new coin that will focus solely on privacy using the Bitcoin code and PoS.

Bitcoin Confidential is a new coin focused on confidentiality and will be Proof of Stake.

Bitcoin Confidential will be an entirely fungible cryptocurrency. All transactions will be private to create a genuinely fungible cryptocurrency using Ring Signatures technology.

Bitcoin Confidential will not use less compromising protocols, and so will incorporate Ring Signatures for untraceable payments as default.

All SmartCASH holders will be airdropped the new coin 10:1 and Bitcoin and other top altcoin hodlers may also receive some via an airdrop to encourage mass adoption.

I am not sure where this development may lead but we usually see a spike in volume and price of coins before an airdrop occurs so we may see this with SmartCASH once the official date for the airdrop is announced.

This is the clearest overview of Bitcoin Private on Steemit. Thanks for writing this one up and sharing.

My opinion is similar to yours, in that I really don't know whether this is good or bad yet. We have to just wait and see where things lead as the team releases more info on the coin.

I'm actually interested to see if they listen to the community on the name. There seems to be a pretty big backlash. I actually don't think I've seen even 1 person who likes using the name Bitcoin.

SmartCash should be ashamed for not fixing the EXISTING SmartNode bug which has been exploited every day for over 3 months now. The fact that they are not fixing the bug but are working on other projects smells of foul play to me.

There are major issues with SmartCash that are NOT being transparently and proactively communicated to the public, potential investors or existing holders.

Summary:
There is an bug in SmartCash 1.1.1 code that has not been fixed for over 3 months
Someone is actively exploiting the bug to steal hundreds of thousands to millions of SmartCash from mining rewards.
SmartCash moderators censor and ban members that speak of the exploit.
SmartCash community members do not have power to vote on SmartCash development. They can only vote on proposals.
