SMART CASH

What is SmartCash? Directly from their website: http://smartcash.cc

SmartCash is a project born out of the desire to create a viable, fungible, fast, merchant oriented, user friendly and community driven cryptocurrency with a decentralized governance system. We aim to create the most nimble and fast growing cryptocurrency by aggressively prioritizing block rewards to growing our community, hiring developers, gaining merchant acceptance and via grassroots community outreach efforts and established marketing methods.

Essentially this coin is community driven with the team aiming to create and maintain a decentralized governance structure. They aim to do this through their SmartHive and Hive Structuring Teams (HST) that will enable anyone that holds coins to have a vote on proposals submitted by the community. ANyone will be able to get involved and submit proposals with the aim being to create a bottom-ip management structure and drive growth in the platform.

SmartRewards

The most fascinating thing for me is that you are able to hold and then stake your SMART tokens and receive rewards (in SMART tokens) every month. The company term them SmartRewards and it is a mechanism to encourage investors to HODL tokens rather than trading them willy nilly!

SmartRewards are a price stabilization mechanism and a way to encourage long term holding. Long term holders are key to the project’s success since the SmartHive treasury needs SmartCash to appreciate in value in order to fund meaningful 3rd party proposals and help grow SmartCash into a successful global crypto-currency. Each wallet address holding at least 1000 SmartCash will get paid each 30 days on the 25th and the snapshot for the next month will happen at the same time. The SmartRewards will come out of the 15% block reward allocation.

SmartNodes

Another fascinating feature of SmartCash is that run a SmartNode (similar to a Witness setup, though not elected) all you need to do is have 10,000 SMART tokens, a dedicated VPS (IPv4 address, 1GB RAM, 20GB drive) and be able to run 24 hours a day without a more than an hour of connection loss. You then get 10% of the block reward on every block. The setup guide and FAQ for the SmartNode can be easily located on their website.

I think that the SmartCash coin, as a community focussed coin, is building a great following and has built a fantastic concept. By allowing coin holders to gain rewards, vote on proposals and run SmartNodes if they wish, I cannot seeing this coin being a 'flash in the pan' type of investment. If you want to get the most out of your SmartCoin investment then you need to purchase 1000+ coins and stake them to gain more rewards. Smart cash does look like a solid project and therefore a good investment, I think the idea of the smart rewards to encourage investors to hold is a smart idea.

I love it! This crypto pays out a dividend not many cryptos offer that. Lets see if smart cash will make it big. But paying everyone with 1k and up 15% is quite concerning unless it's capped.

@jason7282 smartcash does not pay 15% to each address. SmartRewards which is 15% of the block rewards is shared out to all addresses that qualify during the period. The projected smartreward in the next round - cycle 7 is 5.20%
As long as smartcash is mined the smartrewards will continue.

Great idea. The document to setup the smartnodes are flawless (speaking as one who has tried others) A lot of effort was put into accommodating the non technical people and its constantly being improved - now down to 10 minutes!

Yeah, I did realize that when I checked them out. I attempted a zencash node last week, but couldn't quite figure it out. The smartcash walkthroughs definitely seemed more straightforward.

Hey @simondocherty. I purchased mine through https://wallet.crypto-bridge.org/market/BRIDGE.SMART_BRIDGE.BTC

You can send LTC, BTC and other coins but you need to exchange for BTC and then SMART. Then withdraw to your SMART coin wallet. Simple. If you have a Bitshares account then you can access this DEX with the same credentials.
