Hey - sorry about that, we are pretty open when people ask on Discord, the exchanges are updating their wallets at the moment, as soon as they are updated trading will be resumed. Cryptobridge has just begun trading SMART recently, so you are able to trade on there if you would like - otherwise I'm sure cryptopia won't be too much longer!

Thanks for replying, but I am not so sure this state of affairs is cut and dried. There have been quite a few people stating that they get blocked on Discord when raising issues which may reflect negatively on Smartcash. Also the fact that the price went up to record highs when trading was curtailed to only certain exchanges leaves a slighlty sour note in my mouth (I am not a trader.... I a holding my SMART's) ... Cryptopia has for 11 days now had no trading in SMART "at the developers request" .......

Developers requested trading to be halted because of the Zerocoin exploit, I understand the frustration but the developers have been working really hard to fix the issue with the Zerocoin exploit and help the exchanges get the latest version of the wallet update to resume trading - they are working hard for SmartCash, not against it, and unfortunately it is not always smooth sailing. SmartCash has been pretty honest and transparent, but obviously the developers are also working hard they can't be in Discord 24/7.
I spend a lot of time in Discord, and I know that the only time people would get blocked or given a time out from Discord is if they are disrespectful or personally abusive, people don't get blocked for asking questions - we are there to support and answer questions, definitely not to censor people.
The fact that the price went to an all time high unfortunately is out of SmartCash's control, it wasn't a planned thing, the developers had to act quickly and ask exchanges to halt trading because of a hacker that attacked, and exchanges had to halt to protect peoples funds and prevent them from buying invalid coins. It was a serious issue that needed to be dealt with and the developers have done the best they can under the circumstances, everything should be running as normal pretty soon.

thanks for the comprehensive response. Do I need to do anything with my web wallet?

You don't need to do anything with your web wallet :)
