I am testing to see if Steepshot recognizes .gif files as image files or if it will replace it with a static image. Took my oldest daughter fishing today and we caught nothing in the frigid waters, but a walk to the frozen waterfall was very satisfying😇🏞

It would appear they DO NOT recognize .gif files. So, here is the one I tried to upload from #steepshot. I will make a post tomorrow with all the fun details :)

I put the actual gif on the bottom with an edit. Was testing and am sorry to say...that no, steepshot does not support them :(

But that is not an really user-friendly experience

How is that possible from it to be frozen on one side and not the other. Is it fake?
On one side the water flows a little more and is exposed to more sunlight :)
THAT IS DUE TO TEMPERATURE OF SURROUNDING WHICH IS LESS THEN THE RUNNING WATER ...
IT IS VERY BEAUTIFUL BUT THE FILE IS IN GIF OR WHAT ?
Gifs would be a big improvement for steemit! So much of the content on Reddit are gifs.

I believe that you could use DTube or DMania to upload the GIF and it is added to your blog.
Eh...not having the greatest of fun with those apps. They are soooooooo slow.
