Hi steemit friends,
For my entry today into the smartphonephotography challenge, I am sharing another photo that I took this afternoon of the birds that I found a week ago in my yard! If you haven't seen either of my previous updates about these cute little fellas, here is the first post and here is the second!
In short, I found a birds nest on the ground in some of the longer grass next to my house! It is an odd place for a bird's nest, but they have been making out quite well. When I first found them, they had barely any feathers, their eyes and beaks were larger than their faces, and they were huddled up together to stay warm. Now things are much different, as they are all covered in feathers, and look nearly ready to depart their nest! It has been fun getting to watch these little birds grow up on nearly a daily basis! Maybe one of them will eventually come back and make another nest somewhere else in our yard. Preferably in a tree rather than in the grass, but I guess we will see!

Pssst... don't wake up them ... :)
Funny you should mention that... They often got pretty cranky and annoyed with me whenever I'd go over to take a photo. I was probably waking them up from a nap or something!
You just planted 0.12 tree(s)!
