Bidding for Votes at Smartsteem.com just got a whole lot smarter

in #smartsteem7 years ago

Hello everyone,

in this post, we're revealing an exiting new update at Smartsteem.com.

But before we get into the update - let us first give you a small summary/introduction about our two promotion services.

Smartsteem.com - Advertisement & Promotion on Steem

We are currently offering two ways for users to promote their posts:

1.) Through our advertisement-market (@smartmarket), where over 5500 Steemians are offering their Steempower for promotion purposes in form of votes. These votes can be bought either directly via a transfer to @smartmarket or through our website: Smartsteem.com/buy

2.) With our own account, @smartsteem, that votes every 2.4 hours on posts. For this, we are using the bid-vote model, where users are bidding for a share of a full 100% vote. Bids can be made either directly via a transfer to @smartsteem or through our website: Smartsteem.com/bid

Now, we recently improved the look and feel of promotion via @smartmarket at Smartsteem.com in addition with an update to our ROI-calculation to make sure, that our customers are always getting what they're paying for!

While this update was very well received, we knew that bid-voting via @smartsteem needed some love and improvements as well. Until now, it was only possible to check and monitor the bid-rounds with steembottracker.com.

We believe that Smartsteem.com shouldn't have to utilize other websites, so that's why we've implemented this update on our website:

Bidding on Smartsteem.com

You're now able to bid directly through Smartsteem.com for a share of @smartsteem's vote.

When you go to Smartsteem.com/bid you're greeted with an interface similar to the image above.

Within this interface, you're able to see all the most important info about bidding with @smartsteem, which are also automatically updated every ~15 seconds.

  • Our current dynamic stats: Max ROI, Min ROI, Voting on post when post-age >= 30 minutes
  • How much SBD & STEEM has already been used for bidding in this round - converted to USD. Example: 209.78 USD
  • How much @smartsteem's vote is worth in USD, including the 25% subtraction of curation. Example: 230.71 USD
  • The ROI for the current bid-round. Example: 9.98% ROI
  • The current and previous bids.
  • Status about the previous bids. Check-mark for successful votes and a question-mark for a bid, which post hasn't reached 30 minutes post-age yet.
  • Bids that have been added to the next round, which would have broken the ROI Limit. Example: Next Round ...

Now, we're inviting everyone to take a look at Smartsteem.com/bid. We believe that this a huge improvement in regards to bidding with @smartsteem.

Please let us know what you think about this update and what your experiences with it have been so far.

Great work! Keep it going.

cool that we can bid on the site now, that' what's up.

Sounds good but I haven't try it yet. Will try it out as soon as I make a good and worthwhile post.

I'll try it too

I sell my votes to smartsteem, so far I have very satisfied from my sp equivalent earnings.

Me too

I also compare selling votes versus delegation, I am more convenient on selling upvotes. And somehow it is more profitable, do you agree?

selling votes is less profitable than SP delegation, but you take full control of your SP anytime you want to use for something. For SP delegation, your SP is locked up for 7 days.

I would prefer to have full control of my sp at the moment, since I do my manual upvote too.

Looks awesome, now we can use the site for everything :)

Please can you explain??? I still don't get how this bot is beneficial

they use other people's voting power to vote on your post (if you buy vote)
and use your voting power to votes on other (if you sell vote)

In short: you can buy votes for your post or sell your votes. Both ways get more ROI for you.

In my opinion, @smartsteem is the best bot out there. They have clean and neat website that is very user-friendly and easy to understand. They have -10% limit to their bid so don't you worry about losing money while using their service. Recently, I do not use much of the bid bot because of saturation of the market but I am making sure that everytime I use the bot @smartsteem is one of the bot that comes in to my mind because of their good services. Great job!

The new interface rocks. ROI estimates are very useful. 👍

I think I'm going to use smartsteem often...thanks for your service, I'm increasing my SP since I used it.

Good to know

Celebrations for Father's Day dates back to the 1908 when the first known Father's Day service was conducted at a church in West Virginia. The credit for which goes to Grace Golden Clayton when she suggested if the Sunday service could be conducted in the honor of over 200 fathers who has died at a mining explosion in Monongah.

While this is traced to be the origin of the concept of Father's Day, it did not become an annual international event until 1909 when Sonara Smart Dodd from Washington proposed the idea of Father's Day to Spokane Ministerial Association and the YMCA on June 5th as it was the day her father was born.

The first Father's Day in Spokane, Washington, was observed a year after that, on June 19, 1910. This then became an annual event at Spokane. The concept soon picked up across towns that had their own ways of celebrating the occasion.

It was in 1913 when the first bill was introduced in the Congress, suggesting that Father's Day should be considered to be a national holiday. The bill was however passed only in 1972 declaring 'Father's Day' to be celebrated as a national holiday on the third Sunday in June.

Google today celebrates Father's Day with a playful yet symbolic doodle. The doodle shows colorful hand prints that closely resemble a dinosaurs family or two. The doodle is suggestive of the bond between the family and the father, heading and protecting it. Last year, Google celebrated the day with an animated cacti doodle showing the various roles a father plays in a family. The cacti was seen to be metaphorical to the tough exterior and nature of a father.

109 years on, Father's Day today has several traditions and forms of celebrations across the globe. The day, dedicated to fathers, gives children the opportunity to honor and pamper their fathers. fathers-day_625x300_1529131148973.jpg

Thanks for the update @smartsteem. Investment is a must for hardworking person.

I love smartsteem service to use.

Will study it soon and gave you a free upvote :).

Do you guys have a Discord? I applied for whitelist a few months back and got declined but there's no way for me to be able to reapply on my profile. Just wondering if there's someone I could talk to about this?

I've often used @smartsteem's bid-bot and today I used for my first time @smartmarket, after I was whitelisted with 3 stars.
I must say I quite enjoyed that; I also liked the possibility to Buy Votes directly in the smartsteem website.

I'm still learning steemit. But I am wondering is this like the bots folks try to sell me here to get followers and likes? No offense I'm trying to learn here.

I love

We would like to support your blog. Im also new here and exploring steemit platform. By the way please don't forget to vote and add a feedback in our blogs. Thank you.

Sounds good I still have to explore this

Thank you very much for this update. I have using your services for a while and I am super happy!

Question, if for example only one user bid 1 SBD on smartsteem.com, wouldn't the whole vote go to that post, and the ROI be much higher than 10%?
If only a partial vote was awarded, wouldn't the rest of the vote be wasted?

That's why the ROI Limit of 10% is in place to protect the investment of the delegators.

OK, so in the example the bidder would get a vote worth approximately 1.1 SBD, where does the rest of the vote go? Is it not cast?

Nice project with good fundamental.

Sounds great, lets join up guys
