Imagine that you are in busy street, especially riding a motor bike, it is very normal to miss a call because the ring sound and the vibration are not enough for you to know in the rush. However, if you have s smart watch in your wrist, then you don’t need to bring your phone out of your pocket. You can receive calls or reply to SMS on the go. It is on your wrist so you will need not more than a few seconds to respond. Some watches also have voice support. You will be more instant with it since you will have the power to turn your voice into commands. You can also make calls, send text messages as well as read them.

• Even connected while doing activities

When you are doing running, cycling, swimming or any other activity, you might want to peek into your messages, calls or notifications. It is not possible for you to keep phone with you during exercise. Here is where a smart watch makes its best shot! You are given that mobility to keep a device on your wrist whatever you are doing. Are you under water? No problem at all! IWOWNFIT P1 gets a waterproof rating of 50 meters under water.

• Notifications

Smartwatches display notifications what you receive on your phone directly to your wrist. It allows you to instantly read a message or checking out a Facebook notification without picking up your phone from a pocket or bag, which simplifies your life and saves your precious time.

• Listening to music

Smartwatch allows you to connect earphones so that you can listen to music as well. You can also pause, adjust the volume or line-up the next track. It's sounds trivial, but it really does make listening to music easier.

• Changeable watch faces

If you use a normal watch, it’s normal to get bored by seeing the dial every day. Being able to change the watch face is surprisingly fun and makes it more stylish, on the weekends I can walk around with a dancing Micky Mouse on my wrist, but at the Monday morning office meeting I can wear a more professional watch face.

• Travel

During Apple's 'Spring Forward' event, Tim Cook demonstrated the Apple Watch being used to get through airport security by displaying the user's boarding pass directly on the watch screen. Anything that makes the airport security process easier is a benefit.

• Navigation

If you are going somewhere and not sure about the path then you can take advantage of the smartwatch. Directions are sent to your wrist, telling you when and where to turn next.

Walking around while following directions on your mobile increases the chance of that glass and aluminium baby meeting the cold, hard concrete. Reducing the chance of this happening is also another major benefit to wearables.
Although a smartwatch brings some fantastic features, it still has some obvious disadvantages.

DISADVANTAGES OF SMARTWATCHES

• Limited battery life

Smartwatches tend to have a short battery life which governed by technical limitations. Some devices, like the simpler Fitbit trackers, can last for several days. But for some more advanced ones, like the Apple Watch, maybe only last for a day or so. Watches are something you wear everyday and if you forget to charge it by end of the day, you will end up having a dead watch next day morning. Because of this, a number of developers are looking into the possibility of wireless charging options that would eliminate the need to remove the device.

• Inaccurate data

Even though smartwatches are able to provide you kinds of data regarding your exercise and fitness, some have been reported to measure data inaccurately on occasion. This can be especially dangerous when measuring data like heart rate. Hopefully the brands are working on improving the sensor feedback and analyzing the data.

• Smaller screen

As we get a lot of notifications everyday, we might feel that everything is cluttered in a small space of a smartwatch display. But as it a watch and to be wear, we cant do much about it. And watching movies and navigation may become an extra effort for your eyes and better don’t use these features if you have eye problems.

• Not a necessity

Even if smartwatches are making your life easy, you can definitely live without it. It is not a necessity. It is not something which you have to go back and get if you forgot to take it. Also smartwatches works in sync with smartphones and it can never replace a mobile phone.

Every device and gadget surely have positive and negative sides, but it is undeniable that those deficiencies are improving gradually. What makes you to consider in buying a smartwatch?
