Walking along the high and narrow bridge of cynicism, I have long maintained hope by looking at what can go wrong. For Steemit, Steem, and possibly your SteemTowns to drive roots, more individuals need to embrace the core vision for cryptocurrencies as it finds itself in apolitical philosophies; indeed eschewing the state.
There exists a difficulty not to smile when reading @dan or various top Witnesses speaking of volunteerism. Sadly, we find so many people here with contradictory positions.
Indeed, I wonder if the overall philosophy of cryptocurrencies will break out of the usual 10% (or thereabouts) of the population who 'get' alternative ideas and ways of life.
But perhaps that is what alternative is by definition. If everyone did it, it would no longer be alternative...
