We are approaching the age of a tokenized web with censorship free content platforms. The Steemit team is working hard to introduce the Smart Media Tokens which allows us to build our own Steem-like platforms. This post is about one of my two SMT projects and it deals with esoterics and spirituality.
Mankind Is Asleep And Controlled
The majority of people in the world have their eyes closed to reality. They are brainwashed puppets feeding an evil system with their money and incredible demand for more while always blaming the others for mysery and injustice. But an ever growing number of people is waking up.
There is a huge market for esoteric topics like Astrology, Alchemy, Magic, Psychotropical Plant Medicines, Sacred Geometry, Energy Healing, Mythologies, Prophecies, Aliens and so on. But currently this wisdom is cluttered all over the internet and difficult to put into context to each other. It takes years - if not a lifetime - to research these topics and create a coherent world view out of it. Mass media is doing their best to ignore, attack or censor anything that would show the public their true potential as powerful spiritual beings in a physical experience. World Benders!
The Magical Token - Uniting The Esoterics
We have already won. By reflecting inwardly and changing ourselves we are able to change the world. Let's bring the wisdom of the ancients to the public and transform the esoteric into the exoteric. By creating a magical token based on the SMT technology of Steem we can not just create a niche platform full of wisdom. Even more, we can navigate the funds and reward great content with decentralized whale upvotes and also finance projects, conferences, seminars and ceremonies.
Imagine a place where all the previous "hidden" knowledge combines its full power and adds monetization to practitioners, teachers and students of spiritual teachings from all over the world. This will become a network of like-minded people who work together to bring this world to the light again.
Decentralized Community Effort
To manifest this dream into reality I want to build a strong team of world benders who already are the creator of their creatrix'. I want thinkers, developers and designers as well as the leaders of their esoteric fields to work on this together. It will be relatively easy: the final platform will be open source and we just fork Utopian.io - a very successful Steem platform that rewards open source contributions. It already offers most of the features I would like to use. Then we redesign it for our purpose and step by step change it accordingly. The development will be entirely financed via the Utopian reward system.
Details like whether it should offer an ICO or not can be discussed by the team after its creation. I don't really want to make that decision alone but I am open to all ideas. Right now I just want to get the ball rollin'. So please feel free to contact me here in the comments or on Discord under flauwy#5735.
I am aware that this project is still very early stage but I want it to grow organically and with plenty of input.

This has to be one of the best initiatives I've heard about in a long long time and although in it's embryonic stage, I also feel it has been incredibly well thought through! It's certainly the type of thing I've been searching for and thinking about for a number of years now .. there is a mood of change in the air and the time/momentum is right! I feel we could all be surfing on a beautiful and profound esoteric crypto wave far sooner than we may imagine. Count me in my friend!
Honestly, if this thing manifests into reality we will have a tool that can change the world through higher knowledge.

Agreed. My own work is not just integrating esoteric knowledge into a coherent whole but to also link it to those sciences that can help underpin the theoretical background, such as biophysics and neuroscience etc.

This is very exciting. You should consider including sound technology which was used by the ancients in building super advanced architectures like puma punku and the Egyptian pyramids - a technology lost in time but we are beginning to rediscover. Atlantis, the ancient giants whose archeological evidences discovered around the world is being suppressed by the Smithsonian mafia. I'll be happy to contribute to making this project successful.

This is a great project, and I agree with what you said.
Researching this type of thing can be difficult, and I know this first hand. I spent 10-15 hours a day for years and feel like I wasted so much time.
Also, SMT’s are going to be awesome for Steem! I just found out about them and I am very excited!!!

I'm just wondering why smt for a content creation platform when we already have a content creation platform... All we need are communities to have a solid space for esoteric content creation...
Ultimately the hardest part is finding the SP to incentivize it... I don't think the esoteric does too well in the current market... Could still have it's own front end /fork... I'm just not getting why smt is a good solution
SMT's will be used for thousands of communities as they allow for new people to hold the power of that ecosystem. In Steem the stakes are already in the hands of a few. SMT's can make sure to assign power into the hands of the right people. They also invite new investors who like to support these projects. Additionally it can be partly pegged to Steem which stabilizes the new currency.
You have a good point as well and there will be many communities on Steem with the new hivemind features. There is room for both.
maybe I just don't understand SMT's well enough. I did read the whitepaper... but.. a bit fuzzy.
Every time I read a whitepaper I feel like literally staring into a blank piece of whitepaper :D But these things are mostly written for the potential investors and developers rather than the people that will be using them and helping to make it work for some reason. Suffice to say, reading the whitepaper for Steem you wouldn't think that we have all the different problems that we see here everyday, so I think it would be interesting to think about what the potential issues of SMTs might be...

When SMT is born, steem blockchain will become dApp like ETH and EOS. Maybe a big threat in them both.
Probably not a threat but rather an addition as Steem has very specific functions and ETH and EOS are more flexible. Particularly EOS will be able to do something like Steem but in better. Although I doubt that will happen any time soon.
