Flipping some of the old pictures, I came across the amazing picture of a snake charmer playing with the snake on the road side. ""Humans make move with some good music so does these serpents""
The picture is from the street of Jaipur, Rajasthan, which I took in my last visit 2 years ago.
The snake charmer sat on the street, with an attractive royal look with pug on the head and open the wicker box to bring the black cobra out.
Snake charmer started to play some tune in his “Pungi” which make the snake to move and came out of the box. The flute that the charmer plays is also called as “Pungi” that make snake to sway on the tune.
Not sure, whether the snake really hears the tune or just make the movement with the flute movement. I think the second one goes with the logic, as science says, snake doesn’t hear anything.
Snake charming is an age-old practice followed in India where a group of people carry the snake in wicker basket. It seems that they get the snake hypnotised, to play in the “pungi” tune. The tradition must have been started from the ancient royal days when there was no source of entertainment, and these snake charmers are few of the way to make people entertain.
The snake xharmers from ancient days carry out the legacy in our current days, and made it a source of income for their livlihood. By sitting on the roadside and making snake dances on the flute tune, they get some gratitude from the public. The only way they can earn some bucks
The snake charmer captures the snake from jungles or from some wild areas, as these serpents are easily available and takes the venom out to make them less dangerous.
However, with growing cable, internet, and other entertainment sources, these practice of snake charmer are loosing the charm. There are few who goes out to see charmers magic.
A life still many likes to explore. ...Snake Charmers the Magicians!! They have the art to make animal dances....👍👍👍
Namaste 🙏

This is so interesting, really amazing post
Thanks @magdalenastimac
And the practice promoted cruelty to innocent animals for ages. Now any such practice involving cobra, monkey or any animal is illegal. Please report such people to police in the interest of animals whenever you come across any. Don't derive your entertainment or fun from captive wild animals, there are several better ways to do that.
Agree....
