Dear steemians, here is a story based on real life events, told in a very particular way:
A Lifetime Story
Between his pranks time went by until he was 5 years old and one of his adventures resulted in a fractured arm as he thought of making a pillow path from his bed to the door of the room, walk through it and when he reached the area near the bed slipped sticking his right arm on the wooden structure of the bed, Feeling one of the strongest pains up to that moment, he was taken to a clinic where he remembers to this day how he was held by four nurses and a doctor, between screams of pain they managed to bring the bone back to its original place feeling immediate relief.
As time passed, he set out to begin his educational adventure in a small institution close to his home. In his early days he did not like to attend the institution where he had crying spells and was calmed down by his first teacher, sometimes even falling asleep in the dormitory. After some time he managed to adapt to the institution and his fellow students, where he completed his studies in a period of 2 years.
He began his primary education at an educational institution located in Maturín and due to his distance from home his parents decided that he should move to the city in the home of a sister of his father where he was well received by the whole family. There he spent about a year where mischief was not long in coming... One day when she came home from school, when she arrived at the parking lot of the building where Vivian noticed that on the balcony of the 6th floor where Vivian's aunt and cousin were standing on the bench, her aunt and cousin, emotionally, took her head out of the car door without noticing that the guy was raising the glass where she accidentally squeezed it, At the moment he got scared and started to scream until the uncle lowered the glass again and was able to get out, after that tense moment all was laughter among them and they even told it to family and friends, at the end of the school year Oswaldo returns home to his parents.
The following year, Oswaldo's other sister was old enough to start her primary education, so her parents decided to keep them at home and look for a school bus to take them to their educational institution and return them to their home, since both parents could not pick them up because of work issues.
As time passed and at the age of 9, an event that almost ended in tragedy occurred, it turned out that the educational institution where he studied organized a painting day and the boy decided to look for the paintings and brushes he had been asked to paint for that day by his own means, they were found on the top of a wardrobe. Without hesitation he looked for a ladder and set out to place it on the cupboard to reach the utensils, however at the moment it is at the top of the ladder this slips and he in an attempt to avoid falling tried to hold onto the top of the cupboard where he unwittingly grabbed and threw on the floor a gun that his father had stored, When he saw her, he was surprised and decided to place her where she had been before, between nerves and amazement, he quickly climbed up and accidentally shot the gun into her right hand, causing an open wound in her right hand, specifically between her thumb and forefinger. He immediately ran to the neighbors' house where his grandmother lives, where he was taken to the clinic where he underwent surgery that night and where, thank God, he still has only two small scars about 5 centimeters long.
I continue to spend my time making satisfactory progress in the academic part where I get to get the best grades during elementary school. When secondary school arrived, a new world that not only involves a change of color in clothing as is common in Venezuela, meaning a greater responsibility since it requires a greater effort due to the multiple tasks assigned and its increase in difficulty, well, even though this represented a greater effort, it adapted with some ease which allowed it to fit quickly into that world, achieving a balance between making friends and maintaining an excellent academic performance. The anecdotes were not long in coming and one day when he was on his way to the educational institution by his own means he was at a stop and a car stepped on one of his feet, he decided to continue to class, The next day she was unable to put on shoes because she continued with the same symptoms, but then everything went back to normal and she went on with her life.
At the time of the last grade of high school, he returned home to his uncles where he had been before due to the fact that he had a complicated study schedule, since they indicated morning and afternoon classes from Monday to Thursday and Friday only in the morning, he suddenly graduated from high school.
He then made a very important decision in his life, to decide which university career he would study, internally he had a small conflict between being a lawyer and an engineer, so he decided to apply for both careers to see which one he would receive, he opted for a scholarship to study law at the Universidad Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho and applied for Petroleum Engineering at the Universidad de Oriente, The first to be given was his acceptance in the latter and days later the scholarship was also approved, so he decided to opt for Engineering, everything happened so fast that the same day he was given the schedule had classes in the afternoon, another stage in his life would begin, from that moment on he moved to the home of another uncle, his father's older brother, where he shared with his three cousins, two of whom were studying at the same university and the same "Petroleum Engineering" degree. Without further ado, he arrived at the study hall, seeing if there were any acquaintances and he managed to see a couple of girls who had studied at his own high school, although he decided to explore the place and meet other people in order to interact with them and exchange experiences. After a couple of weeks he was able to differentiate between people who really wanted to study and those who only went to university to attend and occupy a position. An anecdote that he never forgets was the first class with his Chemistry Teacher, he introduces himself and mentions his degree of instruction that by then he was a Doctor in the field, this man had so much knowledge that he started talking about Steichiometry and ended up talking about Pure Chemistry, a subject that was not in the curriculum, then each class would be the same, Therefore, it required a greater effort to separate the topic to be evaluated from the additional comments whose subject matter was variable. At the end of the first semester he felt a great disappointment since he could not pass mathematics, the first time in his life that this happened and with the least expected subject because he was easily given the numbers, which was later attributed to the overconfidence due to this affinity.
He went on to enroll in the second semester where he did not underestimate any subject and was able to pass all of them thanks to his efforts, achieving what his fellow students would call a feat, passing math with the most difficult teacher of the course, at the end of the course only he passed the subject, which was seen as coming since in each evaluation only 2 or 3 people passed. In the same way, a very particular situation occurred with a subject called Chemistry II, when I saw the classes I understood perfectly and at the moment of studying we did it in groups where on certain occasions I explained to my classmates how certain exercises were solved but at the moment of the evaluations I obtained low grades, That happened a couple of times and I decided as a desperate measure not to explain any more to my classmates because I had to concentrate on passing all the pending evaluations in order to pass the subject, an objective that was later achieved.
At the end of the semester came what is called an intensive, which is no more than a mini semester that lasts 6 weeks and you can enroll only 2 subjects, this would be the beginning of another adventure, by recommendations you enrolled a practical and a theoretical subject in order to balance the loads, at the end of that period the effort was rewarded by passing the 2 subjects enrolled.
The third semester was decisive because he had to study what he represented for the greatest challenge of his career, which would be to pass a subject called Technical Drawing, this being a mixture of theory and practice that was what he was most concerned about since he had no affinity with drawing, even to the point of thinking that it depended on the approval of this subject in order to obtain the much awaited Engineering Degree, this challenge was achieved by passing this and the rest of the registered charge.
He passed to the fourth semester where the results were not completely satisfactory because despite the effort made he could not pass Mathematics IV, which would be his new challenge from that moment on as it was difficult to understand this branch of science.
It wasn't until the fifth semester that he was able to pass it with the rest of the subjects, thus advancing in the career, and the other intensive course arrived where he applied the same technique as the previous one, registering one practical subject and the other theoretical one, But this would not be so easy since he had to stay overnight at the University since the day before the registration since they would only open a section of the subjects to be enrolled, that day was transformed into a sharing of at least 1000 people who managed to enroll in drinks and games, spent 6 weeks and managed to pass the subjects again, which represented another great advance in the career.
He arrived at the sixth semester where all the subjects were already part of the course, being able to consolidate his interest in it due to his ease in capturing technical knowledge, and he also managed to pass the entire academic load enrolled. With special emphasis on a subject called Thermodynamics, which is considered one of the filters of the career, the study days were longer than usual.
For his seventh semester, the victories followed, registering the necessary subjects to continue advancing in the race and passing all of them, so the intensive course was able to register two additional subjects where in the same way it would be a theory and the other practice, for the last one it would be dawn for the first time elaborating a work, Since the professor assigned him at seven in the evening and the time of delivery would be at seven in the morning of the following day so a group of approximately 20 students were assembled to complete the task, at 6am everything was ready to be delivered, arriving at the university at about 6:40am in the morning as the teacher had mentioned that when he arrived he would receive all the assignments, after which he would not accept them, he arrived on time at seven in the morning as he had announced, after six weeks he had passed both subjects.
The eighth semester arrived representing what would be his penultimate academic load, taking the 6 subjects available at the time, one of them was another of the most difficult subjects of the course which was called Heavy Crude Extraction Laboratory, which had as a rule that you could only present the practical evaluation if you passed the theoretical one and you could only fail once, and for the second one you had to repeat the subject, However, this was not an obstacle for him to pass all his academic load, there was also a very important event since his cousin and a group of friends who were more advanced finished classes in that semester, as usual in the University there was a caravan to celebrate such a longed-for achievement and for his judgment it was one of the best ways to commemorate such an achievement since the relatives of each student are involved.
His ninth and final semester was a real madness as he enrolled in all nine of his remaining subjects, put in all his efforts to pass all his subjects, and he did it. Now if he would attend his own caravan where, apart from his classmates, he could share with his parents a long awaited moment, he felt really happy to live that experience. He immediately managed to get an internship to do his degree thesis that gave him the title of Engineer, the company where he had the opportunity was dedicated to services related to drilling fluids, his stay at the company was in a laboratory where they did tests to verify the specifications of the mud, immediately adapted to the group of people who were there and was learning from that edge of engineering, Sometime later he finished his undergraduate work and was presented at the University as the last requirement to obtain the highly prized degree of Petroleum Engineering, the day of the presentation arrived and although he was nervous before starting the presentation at the beginning he saw himself naturally and confidently, immediately afterwards he received the news next to his family and friends that he had passed. The celebration was not long in coming, as it was that day in the evening, when there was a sharing with all those involved. On July 22, 2011 he obtained his degree in the city of Puerto La Cruz, Anzoátegui, Venezuela, in the company of his parents and family. Days later the celebration itself was held with all the family and friends.
Then he began his job search which yielded results quickly and by August he was part of another company that was also dedicated to the drilling fluid branch, the work was in the field during the drilling of oil wells, in that environment he began his apprenticeship in the field and with the luck that his colleagues showed interest in helping him and teaching him the trade. Sometime later he managed to take a course in the city of Houston, Texas where he stayed for more than 6 weeks, passing the course with the best grades, besides the technical knowledge, he was able to share anecdotes with people of other nationalities and learn a little more about their culture, the experience was very pleasant for him.
In 2013 he made certain decisions and decided to change his job, resigned and moved to another company from which he is still working today, since 2015 he is happily married.
