Building a Stick Social Network for Steem.io

The most addicting sites on the web are designed around our fulfilling human desires. Social networks like Facebook and Instagram are engineered in such a way to ensure recurrent and frequent use.

In order to make a media site like Steemit more attractive to the general public, we must identify a viable market or identify unmet needs by potential end-users.

Steemit and the Steem.io blockchain are unique (relative to other social networks) in their ability to create and develop knowledge-based economic markets.

Given the current criticisms of current social media platforms, Steemit and the Steem.io team could promote a new type of social media site (decentralized) that moves the conversation away from promoting individuals, to a social media site promoting social campaigns.

By tapping into the social and institutional applications of distributed technologies, we are able tap new markets and applications of the blockchain. By utilizing a social media site like Steemit to drive socially-oriented campaigns, we appeal to both the psychological and philosophical sides of humans. Protection of human ideas and the on-going development of a shared conversation is at the heart of philosophy.

Task 1: Promoting Socially-driven Economic Campaigns on Steemit

We're tapping in to one of the biggest drivers of real engagement, the desire for belonging.

We're building the future.
