For most of the week I've been stuck in the snow.
I wasn't able to post anything on here for a few days.
Though getting snowed in with your family is not really a hardship.
I really loved it.
On the 1st day I went out around the town and took some photos.
I think I was the only person in the town loving it, probably apart from school kids getting the day off.
But then I was dressed for the conditions with my steelie wellies and artic jacket.
Wish I had warm gloves that you could still operate a camera with.
These are art installation pieces in the newly redeveloped town centre. But they're so new that folk probably just spent the snowy days tripping over them.
All the walls and roofs were snow blasted.
It just got worse and worse throughout the day.
The roads soon became near impassable.
Visibility dropped to about 9 feet in front of you.
The swirling wind caused drifting snow and blizzard conditions.
The town occasionally vanished.
It looks incredibly bleak in these photos. I have chosen to show the wild ones and not the occasional moments when it was still.
Go for the dramatic shot every time.
This is not the worst snow that I've ever seen but it's the harshest winter for a while.
On the 2nd day I wrote blog posts and made future plans for posting to this platform.
