Pogba scored once again as Manchester United beat Brighton 2-1 yesterday, securing another well needed 3 points in the Premier League.
It seems to be all United at the start of the game, as the home side take dominance of the match.
Rashford and Pogba both get denied by the keeper on different occasions. United look like they should be in front.
In the 25th minute, Martial gives a lovely pass to Pogba, who takes the ball and runs into the box. Pogba gets taken down in the box and United are awarded a penalty. Pogba takes the spot kick, shooting the ball into the net with power to put United ahead.
Brighton start some real attacking football of their own and they start causing some problems for United. United's defence holds strong for now, but this could go either way.
Rashford goes on to double United's lead in the 42nd minute. Rashford using his quick feet to get past the defender and bending the ball in the top right corner from a narrow angle. What a fantastic goal from a fantastic player.
United go into the half time break with a 2 goal lead, and they look ready to add more.
Brighton don't look to be having any of it as they start the second half with some serious intensity.
United soon start to show dominance of the game again but the intensity is lower than that of the first half.
Brighton get themselves back into the game with the help of a cross, with the ball falling kindly for Gross, who volleys it past De Gea and into the net from close range.
Brighton start to lay siege to the United defence in the remaining minutes of the game. They keep on threatening the United goal floating pass after pass into the United box. Both the manager and fans look concerned.
The United defence just manages to deny Brighton and they are eventually saved by the final whistle. Brighton in desperate search of an equaliser were frustrated by the United defence and some good keeping from De Gea. The game could have easily gone the other way but United survived
United grab a well needed 3 points as they have their sixth win in a row in the Premier League. Continue Solskjaer's perfect run with his sixth victory in a row.
Manchester United sit at the sixth position, on level on points with fifth placed Arsenal with 44 points each and 3 points from fourth placed Chelsea. Closing the gap would see them get into the top four.
