David De Gea made some outstanding saves as Manchester United beat Spurs with a narrow 1 goal lead. The victory giving Ole Gunnar Solskjaer his sixth win in a row as Manager. A game which has been the intern manager's toughest challenge.
Spurs dominated the game early on and they registered the first attempt on goal in the ninth minute.
United are still in it though, and they show some quick counter attacking to fight Spurs' strategy.
With the game looking to go either way, United get the first goal with some fine counter attacking football. Jesse Lingard intercepts a ball from Trippier and sends it towards Pogba. Pogba plays a long ball forward and Rashford runs to meet it and easily sends it past the keeper.
Spurs give a wonderful response to United's goal in the second half. Their attacking was quicker and more accurate.
Kane led an all out assault on the United defence in the second half, and it looked like Spurs would level sooner or later.
A number of wonderful saves from David De Gea would deny Spurs a chance to get back into the game however. A shame really cause Spurs could have easily turned the game around with their wonderful second half performance.
Making 11 wondreful saves, De Gea frustrated the Spurs attack and there's no question he's the man of the match. His keeping was almost impenetrable.
United managed to hold on to their lead till the final whistle was blown. Leaving a better attacking Spurs side defeated in the end.
The win puts United level on points with fifth placed Arsenal. They are also now within 6 points of the top four, with fourth placed Chelsea at 47 points.
