During the second half of the games three teams bounced into and out of the top three spots of the group. In the end, Columbia wins the group. Japan ties Senegal on points, but advances to the next round based on ‘fair play’ rules. This means a single Yellow card some time during the 3 games of match play eliminated Serbia.
Group H was the most tightly contested group of the tournament.
Japan will meet the winner of today’s match between England and Belgium. England is slightly favored to win. A draw will resolve down to ‘fair play’ to resolve who wins the group.
I was surprised to see Senegal miss out also, that means all African team are now out.
Ouch, their goal different is tie, their goal consead is tie, but Senegal loose by collected more yellow card, and they are out of the World Cup - on the yellow card rule.
