Caretaker manager Darren Moore has done a brilliant job of galvanising this West Brom side since coming in. They are now unbeaten in their last four Premier League (PL) games (W2, D2), although there are fears it could be too little too late for the ‘Baggies’ with just two games left to play.
It could be a record breaking afternoon for one Tottenham man. Harry Kane can equal Kevin Phillips’ record of 16 away PL goals in one season with a goal here, and surpass that record with a brace - there is no doubt Kane will be claiming anything he can get at the Hawthorns.
West Brom have a dismal record against Tottenham at the Hawthorns. Since the beginning of the PL era, West Brom have won just twice against Tottenham here. This looks like another mismatch on paper even given recent results - Tottenham have more away points (34) than West Brom have in total (28)!
Do not underestimate a side fighting for their lives, as recent weeks have proven freak results do happen at this time of the season. West Brom have picked up points against two of the current top four with a win at Old Trafford and a draw against Liverpool.
Players to watch: Jay Rodriguez (WBA) has scored two important goals in his last four games, including the winner over Manchester Utd.
Harry Kane (TOT) has scored seven goals in his last six games vs WBA, including three from his last three visits here.
Stat attack: Tottenham are unbeaten in 16 of their last 17 PL games, including each of their last seven visits here.
In five of WBA’s last six home games, they have conceded at least two goals with those games producing over 2.5 goals in total.
