Myspace was founded in 2003, about 13 years ago and is still running.
Facebook was founded in 2004, Which seems like they were trying to jump on the social media train early.
Twitter was founded in 2006, feels more recent though....
The 3 Social Media Companies All have one thing in common. A wall, the location which items were posted. but whats different?
Myspace was bought for 580 Million but due to Facebook and Twitters fame. They sold it for 30 Million years later.
Facebook has recently had a decline in Users/Shares.
Twitter is Doing Just Fine at the moment.
So what's next?
Well, what will happen next is:
Someone will develop internet 3.0
Internet everywhere on earth, unable to be blocked by anyone.
After that, people will start having a social media server. Think of it as being your own personal wall, and it really is yours. You own the server. Then people who are your friends (your server talks to their server, and has lunch...) post stuff to your server, or your social media browser goes out to all of your friends and pulls stuff from their walls.
And there is a competition in social media browsers. Ones that sort into various circles. Ones that get you the latest as fast as possible. Ones that have a puppy in every screen...
