Hello π Stemians,
The topic i chose today for my post is related to the environment conditions that a developer must have to be more productive in what he does.
Of course it does matter
A Relaxing working environment, with great areas of working in that enviroments can create the perfect place for developers to be more productive
Below i will share you some pictures of a company that i am working

Another one, my development space

All the developers have different ideas about their perfect working environment and if you ask them, they will tell you how they want the environment to be for themselves. And i mean, not only for developers but for any one who work in the office, they tend to have the most relaxing environment.
Some of the points that personally for me would make a company a great place to work for developers:
- Not a 9-6 or 8-5 environment. Working hours are crucial part of projects and also deadlines. But working in controlled environment sometimes can be stressful. I mean, anyone should focus on doing the tasks not being precise when to start working. If you are confident that you can finish it before the deadline so you should stressful about the start time.
- Great co-working spaces π
- Innovative relaxing spaces π
- Funzone π― and game spaces
- Great collaboration between developers and managers
- Having the Best learning curve
- Speed access to any tool you need
- Having mentors for juniors and great positive energy between team-mates
So thatβs what a great working environment mean π.
Sincerely,
Gianni
Most of the time I prefer a lonely place without any disturbances. For me a open floor in the office is not a very comfortable place to code. The only reason I still stick to that place is because I have multiple monitors in my desk.
Hey π thnx for giving your opinion on this matter π
You are welcome π
A nice working environment makes a lot of difference. I don't like those drawers under the table but they're not the worst.
Totally agree! I also reduced working from 5 days and 40 hours to 4 days and 7 hours and am more productive and happy than I have ever been before. Personal recovery is mich better and I'm even looking forward for monday :)
Noise in open space is a problem though. So I simply use Noise Canceling headphones.
