At the end of the Solar Maximum called “The Medieval Warm Period” (950-1250), human population had expanded to about 400 millions, food was abundant, construction went crazy along with credit expansion. Construction of cathedrals like Notre Dame de Paris that just burned were everywhere, the economy was booming! Then the Sun turned and came The "Wolf Solar Minimum" (1280-1350). By 1348, between 15% and 25% of Europe population probably already died from Famine, Flood, Hailstorm, Lightning Strike, Earthquake, Mud Slide, Strange Odours and Witch Hunting. The Black Death officially began that year of 1348, along with the worst banking collapse humanity ever saw to that point, with the Lombard Bankers from Venice going bankrupt. By 1360, 70% of Europe population had died.
When the "Spörer Solar Minimum" (1450-1550) arrive about 100 years later, although it was worse then the "Wolf Solar Minimum" in term of Solar Energy Output, it's impact on human population was much less due to far many less people on the planet then at the end of the "Medieval Warm Period". Nevertheless, it pushed exploration and lead to human population expansion into the Americas instead of the 100 years war that went on during the "Wolf Solar Minimum".
