It is like when I went to a store that primarily sells chainsaws and told them that I wanted an 'Aggressive chain' for a saw and not a 'Safety chain' and the owner corrected me and said it was a 'Limited kick-back chain' and that if he used (or allowed me to use) the term 'Safety chain' that he could be held liable if I hurt myself with it because the term implies that the chain is 'safe'. What a world man!

Yes it is all in the words anymore, and a lot of people are as dumb as a box of rocks! I saw a warning label on a ladder that said if you use the ladder, you could fall...I felt so protected, SMH!
>:(
Haha! On a ladder! Duh!
It is stunning how stupid they believe we are! They think we are idiots, and sadly; they themselves are the actual idiots!

Well folks often measure the intelligence of others with the 'yardstick' of their own intelligence...so go figure.
True and their yardstick is usually a 6 inch ruler!
As a side note, if you ever want to piss off a machinist, ask him if you can use his steel ruler! The scales they use are etched to be a lot more accurate than a ruler ever could be, so they are a scale, and not ruler. Drives them nuts, ROFLOL!
:)
Ha! I have worked in a few machine shops and know that sentiment very well!
I like to take my own scale when I do this. It is a good way to measure the self importance of whomever I ask. If they are amused, they are easy to work with, if not, I need to watch that individual.
I visit a lot of machine shops when I do CNC repairs, and this is a good filter to tell me the people to avoid, ROFLOL!
