Original image of the building of Bačko-Bodroška County in Sombor city(Serbia) was built for the needs of the former county administration in the period from 1805 to 1808 and is a cultural monument in the category of immovable cultural assets of great importance.
Today, in the building are the City Assembly, city administration services, districts and state institutions.
In the Great Hall of the Sombor County, in February 1898, an imposing painting "The Battle of Senta" was installed. Its author, the painter Franz Eisenhut (1857-1903), painted the scene of the famous battle between the Austrian and Turkish armies, which was fought on the Tisza near Senta. September 11, 1697. A detachment of several hundred Somborian military (hussars-horsemen and hajduks-foot soldiers) took part in the battle.
