Sturgis Motorcycle Rally
At the top of our list for your next bike run or ride in South Dakota, one of the best places for you to start, of course, is the ever famous Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Now in its 7th decade of existence, Sturgis is known to many, if not all, as one of the biggest biker events in the United States.
With a never ending list of top musical performers always scheduled, fantastic camping and all the bells and whistles you would expect from one of the biggest motorcycle meets in America. Consistently having 500,000 or more riders attend each year, one major reason people are drawn to Sturgis is for its incredible band line ups. In the past that has included the likes of such legends as Ozzy Osbourne, Motley Crue, The Doobie Brothers and Bob Dylan, just to name a few.
There are always many fantastic events planned around this rally, a good time is pretty much guaranteed, and the food ain't too bad either. You will see many food vendors and have a great choice for your dining selections. The weather in Sturgis when this event is held every August won’t see you needing your winter riding gloves, it is a spectacular time of year to be in this geographical area weather wise.

Accelerator 2
ln South Dakota, the Accelerator 2 rally is undeniably a really great event to attend. Centered around the Buffalo Chip campground, it has a smaller crowd for those who enjoy a less chaotic pace but still like some action packed fun compared to the mega draw of Sturgis.
With events like a motorcycle rodeo, a silent auction, pig races and a Saturday night Dinner, along with some of the most celebrated musical acts in the music industry, this event is one of the most celebrated around these parts.
There is a $20 registration fee for members of the South Dakota Abate, and a $40 fee for non-members. And if you enjoy camping, all who attend are welcome to the campgrounds. Accelerator 2 is an event you really do not want to miss if you enjoy a good time, love looking at cool customs bikes, jamming to great tunes and having a seriously diverse selection of food choices. Hot Harley Nights Rally
For another great event in South Dakota there is the Hot Harley Nights Rally. This event supports the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which helps improve the lives of children that have been diagnosed with terminal diseases. With a usual annual count of at least Forty Thousand folks, there is still plenty of action at this very charitable rally.
There are things like a Casino run, a ton of raffles, a fantastic motorcycle parade, wonderful food vendors and of course some super hot musical acts booked. Hot Harley nights will not disappoint. This is another great alternative to the Sturgis Rally, and a guaranteed good time for all.
