Space the Final Frontier!

Now the ISS, according to Google is this high above the Earth

Now can anyone remember the Tesla Car that was shot up into space?

Well, currently, according the tracking website, the Tesla Space Car and Pilot are orbiting at 222 million miles which equates to approximately 360 million km.

If that is the case then when were the images below taken and how high above the Earth was the Roadster when it was being photographed?

So back to the current 360 Million km distance the Roadster is currently Trekking.

The Planet Mars is

Hold On!

Okay, we're going to go with Google.

So they are telling us that a normal everyday electric car is currently 135 Million km farther out than Mars, or possibly even 305 million km farther out than Mars.

Motoring.com.au had this to say

The idea that the fastest car ever made is a Bugatti Chiron could be turned on its head after a Tesla Roadster was launched into orbit via the new SpaceX Falcon Heavy rocket.

The objective is to propel the Tesla car into orbit around Mars, a journey that could take MILLIONS of years. Guess they were wrong.

What's the next planet past Mars? That's right, Jupiter.

How far is Jupiter?

The Roadster is only 228 million km away from Jupiter.

And to think the Roadster was launched 7 February 2018, just over 12 months for a vehicle to fly past Mars onto Jupiter not Millions of years.

And I couldn't for the life of me find what is was that was propelling the Roadstar through space. All I could find was it was literrally jetisoned off the Falcon Rocket and drifted off in an orbit with Mars. Don't know if there were retro rocket boosters attached to the Roadster, but I am yet to find the answer to that one.

I guess in the end it's one small step for Tesla, and one giant leap of faith.
