This morning started around 03:00 at the hostal. I was plotting my course to the train station. Would I get a Cabify (ride share), metro, taxi, or walk. I didn't know if I could trust any of these choices... but walking seemed like the best option. 41-45 minutes with my bags.
I love Renfe trains. 2.5 hours from Barcelona to Madrid.
I opted for Cabify but left enough time to walk, just in case.
Good plan as it turned out. There were no Cabify drivers answering the request. So I walked... nearly 45 minutes. Happily there were signs along the way so I didn't have to rely on Google maps.
Always time for tea.
I arrived at the station just as the announcement for the departure was being made. It was a nice ride with the company of an interesting veterinarian seated next to me. I felt that the universe was paying me back for kielbasa boy.
Location Location Location. Great spot across from Atocha Station. And a nice place!
A lot of walking today. Meet up with Ginger and eventually Lorraine and Alex also.
Churros meet-up with Cristina
Walk back to the hotel and... goodnight.
No dark beer in Madrid?! Oh Well!
