I take the 'Vote for POR' road, and ignore those who appear spammy, but I am small and have few comments to sift through. If I had alot of comments on every post I think I would start to get pretty aggravated with all the F4F and UV4UV and 'good post' comments.
I use the vote bots even though they don't sit all that well with me. I will continue to use them until I can swim without the water wings, so to speak.
I use them too, usually when I feel I have something important to say, or if I liked my own post.
