The protagonist of this story is Seven, a childish boy who lives almost under the tutelage of his only friend, the blue chicken Dai Bo. That said, the second season, if it arrives, could substantially raise the stakes and turn Scissor Seven into a full-fledged donghua animation series.

Con el paso de los capítulos, la trama ofrece un trasfondo mucho más denso de lo que nos muestran en una primera pasada: referencias a la mitología china con unas pinceladas sobre los reinos feudales sobre los que se asienta la sociedad que, si bien suma puntos de interés por descubrir cómo se articula ese entramado y quién ostenta el poder, resulta excesivamente grandilocuente para la simpleza de la que veníamos en la introducción. Eso sí, la segunda temporada, si llega, podría elevar sustancialmente la apuesta y convertir Scissor Seven en una serie de animación donghua con todas las de la ley.
