Tras muchas cirugías, el cuerpo de All Might quedó extremadamente delgado y demacrado, escupiendo grandes cantidades de sangre al alterarse y pudiendo volver a su forma original y usar su poder durante únicamente unas pocas horas al día. Para evitar que cundiera el pánico y la gente se siguiese sintiendo a salvo, All Might ocultó este hecho, mostrándose al público solamente en su forma heroica y buscando un heredero al que traspasar su gigantesco poder.
