Hace años quería asistir por lo menos para ver de lejos a esta peregrinación, y siempre estaba trabajando y la cuestión es ¿Cómo podía ir solito a un evento así? Ya en estos momentos donde sobra el tiempo y de ya para ya, valía la pena asistir.
No supe en que comunidad colocar este hecho tan significante para mí, porque además de la devoción religiosa se trataba de asistir a la tercera peregrinación más grande del mundo y la número uno de mi país, por tal motivo lo coloqué en mi blog. Y pudimos tomar fotografías del inicio de la misma, porque después me descargué y no pude tomar más, la foto de portada así lo demuestra, seguidamente podemos ver en fotos, esa travesía al llegar a la Basílica Santa Rosa, en una subida prominente desde la entrada y estuve con mis amigos de la Fundación Culcor y mi bella @adalys3, asi fue

Allí nos encontramos con los peregrinos, esperando a que salga la imagen escoltada, para que haga su tradicional recorrido. Más allá del calor de la mañana, pudimos sentir el calor espiritual, llenas de oraciones, canciones, alegría, peregrinar... Muchos estuvimos allí para pedir por uno, por los demás, por nuestro país, que cada día sea el mejor para bien de nosotros, de nuestro pueblo, porque más allá de tomar fotos y caminar. Se trataba de pedir y también dar porque de nosotros también depende ser mejores personas, mejores seres humanos, sin esperar que el otro lo sea, siempre comenzamos primero por nosotros...

Tuve el honor de captar imágenes cercanas a los devotos y a la divina pastora, jamás en la vida pensé captar momentos únicos de una actividad trascendental desde el punto de vista, religioso, turístico, histórico y personal. No hay palabras exactas para entender lo maravilloso de peregrinar como un encuentro clave con nosotros mismos, con Dios y con nuestra fe. Ver tanta gente clamando a Dios es algo muy hermoso, y nos invita a reflexionar, no solo desde una religión en especifico sino también a reflexionar desde y ante un Dios en común aunque hayan muchas creencias, siempre con profunda tolerancia y respeto a ellas.
I had the honor of capturing images close to the devotees and the divine shepherdess, never in my life did I think I would capture unique moments of a transcendental activity from a religious, tourist, historical and personal point of view. There are no exact words to understand the wonderful thing about pilgrimage as a key encounter with ourselves, with God and with our faith. Seeing so many people crying out to God is something very beautiful, and invites us to reflect, not only from a specific religion but also to reflect from and before a common God even if there are many beliefs, always with deep tolerance and respect for them.

Y entre el mar de gente, la Divina Pastora se fue, se fue con su pueblo en sus más de 7,5 kilómetros de distancia y más de tres millones de personas durante todo el recorrido, por las principales avenidas de Barquisimeto, desde la Basílica Santa Rosa hasta la Basílica Catedral de Barquisimeto... 11 horas duró este evento, desafortunadamente por descargas del celular, apenas pudimos fotografiar el inicio.
Esta tradición año a año se luce con lo mejor del fervor de los peregrinos quienes vienen de todas partes de Venezuela y el mundo. Espero poder asistir el próximo año, Dios mediante así sea para poder reavivar cada vez mi fe y servir mejor al creador. Hasta la Próxima, que dios les bendiga...
