I will be posting daily blogs as I explore the Spanish langauge. Some days I might post one word, one phrase, multiple words and phrases, or grammatical rules. Whatever I do post, it will not be very long. This post is longer because it includes my background on the language. I wanted to put this out there to show you (and myself) my baseline.
I do know a little bit of Spanish from my time in Peru and taking Spanish in grades 1-4. I know:
- Hola - Hello
- Adios - Goodbye
- Buenos dias - Good morning
- Buenos noches - Goodnight
- Buenos tardes - Good afternoon
- Hasta luego - See you later (until later)
- Hasta manana - See you tomorrow
- Cuanto cuesta? - How much is it?
- Donde esta? - Where is it?
- Donde esta el bano? - Where is the bathroom?
- Lo siento - I'm sorry
- Perdoname - Pardon me
- Some numbers, probably confident about up to 50.
Example: 45 = cuarenta y cinco - Some colors
- Some random words (huevos = eggs)

I've been trying to learn common phrases by reading a few every night before bed. Here are the ones I have learned so far this week:
- Cuantos hay? - How many are there?
- Hay muchos - There are many
- Estoy perdido - I am lost
