El desierto en mi cabeza - Poema original

Después de recorrer algunas millas, caminando, bajo el sol,
la cálida arena, hace que mis pies estén fuera de control,
la garganta se me seca y busco agua sin cesar,
pero el peligro me asecha y soy una presa fácil de cazar.

Tratando de continuar, busco fuerzas en mi mismo,
creo a lo lejos mirar algo, pero se trata de un espejismo,
mi mente me engaña y tu imagen se hace presente,
he perdido la cabeza, en este desierto tú estas ausente.
