Afirmaba Agustín de Hipona en sus ‘Confesiones’, que el presente, si fuese siempre presente y no pasase a pretérito, dejaría de ser tiempo para convertirse en eternidad.

Autores más clásicos todavía, como Simónides de Ceos y Horacio observaban ya la estrecha relación entre la pintura y la poesía, siguiendo fielmente el axioma de que, si bien la pintura es poesía silenciosa, la poesía es pintura que habla.

En España, fue María Zambrano, no obstante, quien también proporcionó otra clave inestimable, cuando afirmó que la primera realidad que al hombre se le oculta es él mismo.

De alguna manera, llámese si se quiere intuitiva, la Fotografía es esa doncella encantada que se alimenta de todos estos conceptos y además nos permite crecer, descubriéndonos , de paso, esa otra realidad oculta que todos llevamos dentro.
[In some way, call it intuitive if you want, Photography is that enchanted maiden that feeds on all these concepts and also allows us to grow, discovering, incidentally, that other hidden reality that we all carry inside].
Y para defender este postulado, nada mejor que recurrir a ese acerbo popular, que afirma que una imagen vale más que mil palabras.
