I
Se acaba la relación
se termina la amistad
se trata sin la verdad
se hablará sin compasión.
Dominará la emoción
se perderá lo discreto,
el insulto será objeto
al momento de aclarar
pues todo va a terminar
cuando se pierde el respeto.

II
Si te comiste la luz
y eres jefe o empleado
confiesa pronto el pecado
pa no cargar con la cruz.
Entiende que a contraluz
lo importante es el sujeto,
es mejor quedarse quieto
que pecar con la palabra,
se pierde el nexo que labra
cuando se pierde el respeto.

III
También para cada amante
esta norma es comprensible,
pues el barro es convertible
en flor de loto brillante.
Con palabra edificante
con esa me comprometo,
y esa misma la receto
para herida que gotea
abierta en cada pelea
cuando se pierde el respeto.

IV
¿Y si cuentas hasta diez
antes de pelear sin tregua?
No te pases media legua
por sencilla estupidez.
Mira que con sencillez
y con la paz acometo.
De esta forma yo arremeto
para buscar solución
y fijo esta condición
que no se pierda el respeto.
