In the women's category we only had 2 rounds of 45 seconds to do our performance. At the beginning I thought it was ok, but once I was doing my combos I thought: “45 seconds are not enough for everything I would like to do”, and so it was, there were other little things I wanted to do but the time was not enough, in fact, I was the only one to ask for another round for the girls but one of them was tired and did not want to participate, so this idea was not taken into account because of that. Despite not accomplishing everything I had in mind, I felt a bit satisfied with what I did just because I didn't fall down at any point 😂🙈 As I said, I felt very confident about myself.
A pesar de sentirme cómoda en mi participación, no aspiraba ganar el 1er lugar porque sentí que pude haberlo hecho mejor. Luego de culminar la categoría Profesional, procedieron a nombrar a los 3 ganadores en cada categoría, empezando por la femenina. Empezaron otorgando el 2do lugar quien se lo llevó una de las chicas que participó junto a mi, llamada Anelid, me emocioné mucho por ella porque a pesar de tener poco tiempo entrenando, tuvo una participación muy chevere. Luego quedamos la otra chica del estado Carabobo y yo, esperando que anunciaran el 3er lugar y el 1ero. Cuando el animador dijo que iban a levantarle la mano a la que se llevaría el 1er lugar y a la cuenta de 3 me la levantó a mi, quedé sin palabras. Realmente no me esperaba llevarme el 1er lugar, estaba tan feliz porque siendo mi 1era competencia, pude ganar el primer puesto. Me sentí demasiado orgullosa de mi y eso me aumentó las ganas de seguir entrenando fuerte para futuras competiciones.
Although I felt comfortable in my participation, I did not aspire to win 1st place because I felt I could have done better. After finishing the Professional category, they proceeded to name the 3 winners in each category, starting with the female category. They began by awarding 2nd place to one of the girls who participated with me, named Anelid, I was very excited for her because despite having little time training, she had a very cool participation. Then the other girl from the state of Carabobo and I were waiting for the announcement of the 3rd and 1st place. When the announcer said that they were going to raise the hand of the girl who would take the 1st place and on the count of 3, he raised it to me, I was speechless. I really didn't expect to take 1st place, I was so happy because being my first competition, I was able to win 1st place. I felt so proud of myself and that made me want to keep training hard for future competitions.
Si me hubiese llevado el 3er lugar, igual estaría feliz porque hice mi participación más que todo por ganar experiencia y seguir venciendo mis miedos. Todo esto lo hago por tener una superación personal y me lleve a seguir progresando y mejorando como atleta, únicamente por eso. Pero si me llevo el 1er lugar en futuras competiciones, estaría muy muy feliz porque todo esfuerzo tiene su recompensa. No hay dudas de que me siento muy orgullosa de mi y sé que con la constancia y disciplina que mantengo aún hoy en día, puedo llegar muy lejos si me lo propongo, yo confío muchísimo en mi y en mi potencial.
If I had taken 3rd place, I would still be happy because I did my participation mostly to gain experience and continue to overcome my fears. I do all this to have a personal improvement and lead me to continue progressing and improving as an athlete, just for that. But if I take 1st place in future competitions, I would be very very happy because every effort has its reward. There is no doubt that I feel very proud of myself and I know that with the perseverance and discipline that I still maintain today, I can go very far if I set my mind to it, I am very confident in myself and in my potential.
En los tiempos de descanso y luego de culminar la competencia en sí, me tomé algunas fotos con un amigo de Barquisimeto que no veía desde el año antepasado, Guilel, el es un amigo muy chévere y tiene al igual que yo, una V-Sit e I-Sit muy sólida, no podíamos dejar pasar la oportunidad de sacarnos una foto de esta manera. Así como también me tomé muchas fotos con Anelid haciendo parada de manos y la plancha de codos, las dos estábamos entusiasmadas en sacarnos fotos juntas para luego compartirlas. Por acá les comparto las fotos junto a ambos.

Cuando terminó la competencia, procedimos a tomarnos las fotos grupales con los premios, estaba muy contenta y orgullosa por llevarme mi primera medalla del 1er lugar a casa. Me escribieron muchas personas felicitándome luego de conocerme y saber que llevo mucho tiempo en este hermoso deporte, y al llegar a casa, le tomé una foto a la medalla junto al certificado y la franelilla con la que participé. Me gané otras cositas pero olvidé tomarle foto, de igual forma me gustó la premiación.
When the competition ended, we proceeded to take group photos with the awards, I was very happy and proud to take my first 1st place medal home. Many people wrote me congratulating me after meeting me and knowing that I have been in this beautiful sport for a long time, and when I got home, I took a picture of the medal together with the certificate and the flannel with which I participated. I won other little things but I forgot to take a picture of it, but I liked the award.

Mi Gabo! Sin duda alguna fue una experiencia totalmente bonita, aunque como mencioné, no estuve para nada nerviosa o ansiosa, sólo estaba muy entusiasmada. El tener a tantas personas a mi alrededor y depaso grabándome y tomándome fotos me causa muchísima ansiedad, pánico escénico e incluso hasta ganas de vomitar. Cuando tenía presentaciones de baile me sucedió muchísimo esto y era algo difícil de manejar. Con este deporte ha sido diferente todo por los momentos y pues, estoy muy feliz por todos estos cambios. 🙌🏻✨
Yo realmente no fui a competir pero ya me habían animado mucho así que decidí hacerlo de una vez. Yo también estuve muy feliz por ese inesperado resultado 🙏🏻♥️
