What is love:
Love is a feeling of universal affection for a person, animal or thing. Likewise, love is the dedication and pleasure with which something is done, for example: I organize your party with lots of love.
However, the term love can have several meanings depending on how it is used.
The word is used as an adjective when it is indicated that a person is charming, pleasant or like that girl is loving.
Love as value is the only one that considers the essence of good and evil. Love as courage is the strength to propel us towards anything that is good. Love is intangible that induces strength, peace, tranquility, joy and therefore a well-being in the human being.
Love is expressed through actions, messages of love, declarations of love and love poems, however, love is represented through a heart or the figure of cupid with bow and arrow, for example, a heart pierced by Cupid's arrow symbolizes romantic love, instead, a broken heart represents heartbreak.
Filial love is love between children and parents and vice versa, in the same way, in this relationship of love we observe a relationship of superiority or authority since the child is subordinated to the father. Brotherly love is love for brothers and extends to brothers who are not blood, fraternal love is a relationship of equality that teaches us to lead a healthy and constructive coexistence.
That love that results when two people can not be together but in spite of it live their relationship secretly like the love of Romeo and Juliet, is called clandestine love or forbidden love.
Unconditional love is that love that the human being gives himself completely without expecting anything in return, the perfect example of unconditional love; it is the love towards God that is the one that spiritually unites believers who practice the same faith and that of a father towards a son, since they are unique loves and impossible to describe them.
We speak of love at a distance when we refer to that in which two people who maintain a relationship are circumstantially living in different places, despite which they remain together as a couple.
Platonic love popularly known as that love impossible or unrequited, that love that lasts as an ideal or fantasy, however, for Plato Platonic love is based on virtue, is perfect and does not exist in the real world.
In Spain and Mexico the day of love or Valentine's Day is celebrated on February 14 together with the day of friendship.
