I am obsessed with drinking sparkling water

If it ain't bubbly, then it ain't for me 🫧

Everyone has a favorite drink. For me it is without a doubt sparkling water, also known as seltzer water. This is just regular water, except it is carbonated and has some fruity flavor usually. There is no sugar in it, so that's a significant plus. It really just depends if you're willing to trust that "natural flavors" is okay for you. Doesn't seem to be causing me any problems and I drink a lot of this stuff.

I drink at least 3-4 cans a day of this stuff, sometimes more if I'm extra thirsty on a hot day. On top of that, I drink about two bottles of regular water. That makes up my liquids, I'm a water guy. I really don't drink much else unless it's an occasional boba or fruit smoothie, possibly some juice. All of which is pretty rare.

Another nice benefit of sparkling water is that it is super cheap. I don't have a particular brand I drink, I just go for whatever is on sale that week. Sometimes it is Aha, maybe Bubbly, or some other brand. The only one that I vehemently hate is La Croix. I'm not kidding when I say that some of their flavors are absolutely disgusting, I don't know how people can drink it.

Something weird that is different from normal water is that you really cannot chug sparkling water. From where it is carbonated your body just will not let you do it. Similar to how you cannot chug soda. Humans are not built for it. Plus, why would you even want to chug something that tastes so good?

Speaking of how it tastes, let me describe a few of my favorite flavors. Lemon-lime tastes identical to Sprite, except not overly sweet. When you crack open a peach, the aromas of the fuzziest of peaches begin to snake out from within the can. Pineapple, watermelon, berry, and all sorts of other fruits are popular too. It's rare for me to find a flavor that isn't enjoyable. I get several different types each time so I'm not always drinking the exact same thing.

As much as I love sparkling water, I still have never tried any of those popular hard seltzers. I have a feeling I would love them, but that's why I avoid them. I don't want to get back into the habit of craving alcohol ever again in my life. Those things would just be way too easy to drink because I'm sure they don't make you feel bloated at all and they have enough alcohol in them to get you drunk.

I'm not sure what got me started on drinking sparkling water, but it is something that I do every single day now. The only place I won't drink it is at the gym. It does pair perfectly with a meal though. Speaking of that, I'm about to finish this blog and go eat some chicken that I just cooked. Time to pop open a pineapple + passionfruit Aha.

Let me know if you are obsessed with sparkling water like I am. I swear it's all I drink anymore basically. If you have another drink that you love with a passion, let me know what it is. I'm down to try something new, but if it is soda then it will be a hard sell for me.

Absolutely love sparkling water. We have one where I live that is exactly like you describe. Just like Sprite except not overly sweet and they sell it in 1,5 liter bottles so I drink that almost all day lol. Hard seltzer is pretty dangerous in that way for sure. Just too easy to drink haha. Nice to see another hydrohomie on Hive.

You and I both are fiends for the same beverage. I'll drink healthy Sprite all day, but I know that avoiding hard seltzer is a good choice. Although I must admit, it probably is pretty great drinking one of those things while chilling on a tropical beach.

I also like Sprite. And I like 7 Up and Canada Dry too. By the way, I am from Hungary.

Have a nice day. All the best. Greetings and much love from Hungary.

I actually learned that the acids from carbonated water really do a number on your teeth. So I cut back on all carbonated drinks.

At least it doesn't have the massive amounts of sugar or all of the extremely toxic not sugar sweeteners...

I'd still look up what long-term use of carbonated water does seriously.

I'm sure there is absolutely a lot worse addictions out there. You could be like me and still smoke that horrible devil's lettuce!

Is that so? I have never heard that and my dental visits always go very well. I'd be interested in watching a video about your claim though. I just saved three different vids about it to my YT queue. I will make sure to check them out soon. Thanks for the heads up.

I did my fair share of smoking, but edibles are just so much easier, although not quite as fun as puffing on something.

This video make me feel safe to keep drinking loads of sparkling water.

I hope it does not have too much sugar since you said you can drink about three to four cans in a day
Well, my favorite drink is Pepsi. I drink it everyday.

It has zero sugar and it's not one of those "sugar-free" trinks with a bunch of artificial stuff. These are not sweet at all and I think that's why I feel so confident to continue drinking them without fear of them being bad for me.

I haven't had soda in years outside of maybe one or two cans that I drink on a very hot day when offered one.

The way you are talking about its quality and drink three or four per day is very good for your health. I mostly drink milk as it is very good for our health.

Milk is in my opinion one of the best things humans can consume for overall health benefits.

Yeah you are right.

:) ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh. i see u drink the hive bubbly!

We occasionally buy sparkling water but we don't drink it as is, we mix it with a famous powdered Juice brand (Tang) and add slices of lemon and orange. When there is chia seeds, we add some too! Best alternative to water especially now that it's very hot in PH. 👌

Oh, I'm aware of Tang, it was as popular as Capri Suns when I was a kid. We used to be able to get it in pouch form. I don't know anybody who drinks it now.

I like non sparkling more. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I drink a lot of normal water, but sparkling water is my special treat that I indulge in multiple times a day because it has no negative attachments.

I think it is like water and soda mixed. I drank it once I went abroad because I was looking for a bootle water in a supermarket and I didn't know that the city water was drinkable :)

Water and soda mixed is a great description. City water is not drinkable where I live, at least not in my opinion.

Currently my favorite drinks are milk and water :P

I do love milk too. Do you drink raw milk or is that hard to find where you live? They only sell pasteurized milk in the stores where I live, but you can buy raw from a few local farms.

There is a person who deliver us fresh milk on the daily basis.

That's awesome! I wish we still had a service like that here.

I enjoy flavored sparkling waters... but pure water is a lot more healthier. I constantly try to drink more water for health benefits... usually gets replaced by sodas.

What's healthier about pure water?

In terms of kidney health... and when it comes to heavy alcohol drinkers... the liver. Water requires less work from your organs to be processed and filtered.

Oh, yea obviously water is a million times better for you than alcohol. These carbonated beverages that I drink are non-alcoholic. It's just plain water.

I have also not tried ever this drink but want try it for taste,
Enjoy your chicken 😉

Thank you, the chicken was rather yummy.

Yes agreed, everyone is obsessed with any drink, I am obsessed too of cold drinks like Coke and Dew and I'll definitely try to drink drinking sparkling water if this drink is available in my country.

I prefer my drinks cold also. I know some people that only like to drink room-temperature beverages, that's so weird to me.

Sometimes these drinks bring refreshment. But most of our days here cause gastric problems. Moreover, due to chemicals, they do more harm than good.

I don't have any gastric problems and I drink 2-3 cans of this stuff a day. There really isn't much on the ingredient list besides carbonated water, enzymes, and light flavoring.
