Which investments do you like?

SPinvest STEEM power-downs have finished and we have our bag now. After topping up our Bitcoin balance to 1 BTC, we have just over $9500 in Tether USDT earning $2 a day in interest, around 8 HIVE if converted. I think most are happy with our HIVE and BTC balances with the long term goal of having 100k HIVE but this Tether could be used for something different.

So in an effort to gather some feedback, i have listed 15 investments we could get involved with and it would be awesome if people could comment back with their top 5 are even go further and rank them all from 1 to 15 with 1 being the most attractive but only if you have the time. Some of the suggestions might seem silly but we need to include silly things to identify how many investors we have compared to gamblers. haha.

As it stands right now, this is how funds are allocated

NumberInvestment
1HIVE
2Ethereum
3Ripple
4Stake cryptos for passive income
5Gold
6Silver
7Platinum
8Rhodium
9Create a HIVE blockchain game
10SP 500 tracker
11Tesla shares
12Dividend-yielding stocks
13FTSE 100 tracker
14Invest into HIVE project
15None of the above, lol

I am sure you can think of things that are not there but this gives an idea of what we can get into. If we are looking to create as much passive income up as we can, then owning precious metals and most stocks will be no use to us. We could create a monthly income of around $60 by just holding Tether and use that $60 every month to buy some gold are stocks are whatever. This would keep last $10k liquid should someone with a bunch of tokens needs to cash out asap. Im sure's there is a happy medium but there are many options and the more we plan now, the less work we done to make it happen.

I have my own idea's but i'd like to see to hear others feedback and ideas so i can start to put together some sort of voting post. It might be the same sort of style as the big HIVE vote we did a few months backs. I think this time round, I'll publish a post with all the questions and options and if members could DM me their answers, that might work better than the excel sheet we tried last time. using discord for DM keeps voting anonymous.

Thoughts?

Sort:

3 Xrp
Cheap just short of 20 x below all time highs
Can be staked to earn interest on most platforms.
Some significant companies have signed up lately
All in all could outperform everything (could)

investment are gamble?

Bit of both but aren't they all?
Centralised seems to put people off but thats what could make the difference we all know where decentralised gets us lol

Dont know alot about it as i've never looked at it as a serious investment.

I have seen in a few places Ripple is the company and XRP is their token so all these deals they are making are for Ripple. They pay companies in XRP to join up with Ripple and then all the companies dump the XRP.

If they pay companies to join and they dump and there price remains stable around 20c
Logic would say either companies aint dumping or there is a demand so people are buying up the dumps without any price difference 😉

Bitcoin and silver are the best bets currently. World markets are due to swoon.

been waiting for silver to boom for years, starting to think it'll never moon :'(

Still does not stop me from staking more, lol

At least you aren't waiting for copper to moon. I have a gallon of pre 1982 pennies waiting for them to be decommissioned and think I may just have to take them to the bank and buy my kids a gallon of ice cream.

1, 5 , 6 , 9 would be the best

Im down with that, nice and easy

I expect all major stock indices to go down substantially because the severity of the corona situation has not been priced in yet. Especially the situation in the US seems to get much worse lately. Maybe we should invest in a product shorting these indices?

I dont think we time the market. Maybe if we decided to invest into stocks, we could just make a weekly investment for 26/52 weeks.

plus, im not comfortable with the risk shortings carries.

I can imagine, it is pretty risky. In that case my preference is not to invest in stocks right now. So partly keeping it as USDT and a bit in gold and/or BTC seems a great option to me.

  1. 7 - in the form of Platinum Moon Earrings from mene to be held in @metzli's possession (j/k. lol)

  2. 4 - passive income cryptos

  3. Tesla shares

  4. 12 - dividend earning stocks

  5. HIVE game,

It's really easy to get discount codes for mene if you set your account up correctly. I think you get a signup money off code?, and another one at the birthday and another for one your anniversary. Hmm, so if you signed for a new account 2 days before your birthday and 3 days before your anniversary, you might have 3 money off discount codes at the same time? hmmmmmm but then you could refer yourself to the new account and get another $5 off.

Starting to see a trend in what everyone is selecting.

Nice try, they only let you use one code at a time.

I have some gold heart earrings from them, real pretty. They are already worth more than what I paid for them and are super shiny.

Platinum moons are next (@metzli does mean moon so I'll be cool like that).

They've changed the rules, maybe to many people started doing it. lol. Not had anything from mene in 2 years, beautiful stuff

Split between ETH, Tesla and a game.

hmmm, nice and easy...well apart from the game , lol

Making a VERY DETAILED Post for my answer, this goes along with my currently Real Life investing. I will post a link here as a reply to my own comment.
