Yes, it's very important to do shadow work. But we don't have to stay stuck there either. All in good balance. After some shadow work, comes some relief and lightness untill you've charged up enough again for more shadow work. Untill all our shadows work for Love. If the lightness doesn't come after your shadow work you are stuck in the painbody. This is where you feed the misery by identifying with it. ( Eckhart Tolle talks about this) You can get out of it by witnessing your pain. Snapping out of it for a bit by going for a walk or doing something fun. When you've found your balance again, you can go back in to the shadow work without identifying with it.
