Here are todays quotes paired with art, because in this busy world, we rarely have time to reflect on the inner, the hidden, and the little known powerful aspects of our human condition.
"In my experience, everyone will say they want to discover the Truth, right up until they realize that the Truth will rob them of their deepest held ideas, beliefs, hopes, and dreams. The freedom of enlightenment means much more than the experience of love and peace. It means discovering a Truth that will turn your view of self and life upside-down. For one who is truly ready, this will be unimaginably liberating. But for one who is still clinging in any way, this will be extremely challenging indeed.
How does one know if they are ready? One is ready when they are willing to be absolutely consumed, when they are willing to be fuel for a fire without end."
~Adyashanti
"Black magic appeals to the mass mind. It appeals to the principles of our civilization. It offers something for nothing. As long as there is cupidity in the human heart, it will remain as a menace to the honesty and integrity of our race.
If occult students will only remember that honesty is the deadly enemy of black magic, and that it holds no terrors for the individual who is true to himself and true to the Golden Rule, he can protect his own soul and those he loves from its insidious and unnatural influences."
~ Manly P. Hall
"It is as inhuman to be totally good as it is to be totally evil."
~ Anthony Burgess
"If you go far enough back, all our ancestors were Pagans. They practiced religions that had few creeds or dogmas. There were no prophets. There were myths and legends, but no scriptures to be taken literally. These religions were based on the celebration of the seasonal cycles of nature. They were based on what people did, not what people believed."
~ Margot Adler
“I see men assassinated around me every day. I walk through rooms of the dead, streets of the dead, cities of the dead; men without eyes, men without voices; men with manufactured feelings and standard reactions; men with newspaper brains, television souls and high school ideas."
~ Charles Bukowski
“If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, Infinite. For man has closed himself up, till he sees all things thro' narrow chinks of his cavern.”
~ William Blake
“You assist an evil system most effectively by obeying its orders and decrees. An evil system never deserves such allegiance. Allegiance to it means partaking of the evil. A good person will resist an evil system with his or her whole soul.”
~ Mahatma Gandhi

Reminds me of Dogma, the movie.
I'm specifically averse to Albert Pike's work, but I've spent a lot of time listening to Manley P Hall's work and have always been grateful that he recorded so many hours of lectures. I have to say, I think the one I liked best was the Bukowski quote -- I don't recall ever having read that before. A sad but true reality.
What about Pikes work has you averse to it?
Just not into the dark occult, which I understand is ironic considering I read your blog. I think he was also instrumental to the formation of the klan.
Hey
These artworks are truly amazing. Where do you get them from?
I was a bit reluctant about you quote-posts, but since they are quite unusual quotes, I really started loving them and looking forward to them every day. I hope to get some of your own words to read again soon, since that was something even more special for me.
Keep up the good work!
