We CAN prove the Bible true because it is an integrated message system, consisting of 66 books penned by 40 people, authored by Jesus Christ., originating outside our time domain. Three Scriptures in response to Testing things: that I found relevant.
1 Thessalonians 21
"Prove all things; hold fast that which is good."
It is well worth reading this verse in context (7 verses before and after)
Acts 17:11
“These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.”

An amazing verse reminding us to test things against Scripture to KNOW if these were Godly or of the enemy. Faith, of course, comes from hearing the Word of God.
And finally, God reminds us through Isaiah, do we want to believe Satan or God?
