RE: 50 DAYS TO UNDERSTANDING THE END-TIMES MORE ACCURATELY - DAY 19 - NOT KNOWING THE DAY OR HOUR - 2 - AUDIO & VIDEO

in #spirituality7 years ago (edited)

We always need to be prepared to meet Jesus, because He Himself keeps every heartbeat going. The imminent nature of death should be enough to keep us humble.

Nevertheless, the early church did have an expectancy that Jesus would return in their lifetime. Personally, I lean toward a post tribulation-view.

The problem with the pre-trib view is that it could cause a person to expect to be snatched up during the tribulation. If in fact, Christ returns at the end, as the scriptures only indicate one return, then many people could be disappointed to the point of despair. So much so, that they could be deceived, if it were possible, into thinking they aren't Christians, and so end up either taking the mark, or walking away from Christ.

We need to trust in Christ. Through the good times and the bad. Hope for the best, pray for the best, but serve Christ in all seasons--bad or good. He didn't come to give us our best life now (though we are very blessed). He came to give us His life now, and our best life then...when He returns.

I cover that in the days ahead, along with some other things! Thanks Brother!

Amen to that !
