Yes there are many different ways @pluse, you need to try out a couple of them to see what suits you best and you are most comfortable doing it. If you do not feel comfortable then you may need to look at other options, the best is just being by yourself in a quiet corner of your house with some meditation music. In the beginning if you do not feel comfortable sitting for very long you can also lie down and do the practice but or sure sitting is the best posture.
