The verse mentioned does mention the unseen, and some people do focus on that part. For me, I've always focused on the part that speaks about "evidence" and "substance," which certainly is different from "blind faith."

Right, but one could also look at it a bit differently. When I think about "...assurance about what we do not see..." I see it as not just a lack of evidence but having evidence to the contrary and yet feeling secure in that belief nonetheless. This is not necessarily blind faith.
