What does this mean? I have to tell you, I'm still working on figuring this out. But what I can tell you right now is that it may be a curvy ride on a roller coaster. Or it may not be, however that is for you to decide and/or figure out in your story. There are a lot of lessons we can learn every day, in every way.
The most interesting aspect of "following your heart" for me has been learning who to trust. They say you can only trust your self. I have not trusted the notion that I can trust myself. So, I have been putting that trust in others so wholeheartedly that I have forgotten of my own accord. This has allowed me to fall into the world of another whether it be an ideology or another human.
The problem with this has been that I am a very powerful human entity that wishes to control none and be controlled by none. Surrendering my power and placing all trust in another has led me astray from my true path. This is because my true path is held within my own action, certainty and clarity. I can use others and ideas as sounding boards for my own self, however, they are not the ideal of who I am. Rather they are mirrors and suggestions, sometimes pointing in the right direction and sometimes not, but always leading to see with more clarity. The wrong way points just as much to the destination as does the right way.
Who do I trust? Firstly, myself. Secondly, people who have already proven to be trustworthy in my life time and time again. The only people in my life with such qualities are my parents. Putting My trust in someone who has not proven trust over weeks, months, years, decades is senseless and infantile. Or perhaps this is one perspective and one that I must hold right now to heal my trust issues.
