There are so many forms of daily spiritual practice, from ceremonial magic to simple meditation. One that is often overlooked by serious practitioners is prayer. Prayer is simple and involves a feeling of surrender and thanksgiving.
The following is a prayer that I use daily. It's adapted from Poimandres, the first book of the Corpus Hermeticum. Memorize it and try it out.
Holy is God, the father of all.
Holy is God, whose will is accomplished by His own power.
Holy is God, who wills to be known and is known by those that are His own.
Holy art Thou, who by Logos has created all that is.
Holy art Thou, of Whom all nature became an image.
Holy art Thou, whom nature has not created.
Holy art Thou, who art stronger than all powers.
Holy art Thou, who art higher than all preeminence.
Holy art Thou, who surpasses all praises.Receive pure offerings of speech from soul and heart, thou who art vast, unutterable, beyond description, who art spoken of by silence.
I beg you that I might not fall from the knowledge that leads toward our essence. Endow me with vitality. By this grace, I shall enlighten those of the race who are in ignorance, my siblings and your children. Wherefore I have faith, and I bear witness. I go to life and light. You are blessed, Father. We who are yours want to share in your holiness as you have given us all authority.
Amen.
Do you incorporate prayer into your daily practice? Let me know in the comments!
This prayer is originally from The Way of Hermes: New Translations of The Corpus Hermeticum and The Definitions of Hermes Trismegistus to Asclepius, translated by Clement Salaman and others.

I have trouble praying because I don't have any guardian entities in mind, and the thought of praying to the everything/driving force (which you would call god, but I don't yet understand it as sentient) makes me feel uneasy.
I see that "god" more as a force, like gravity or electromagnetism. When I drop a pen, it falls to the ground. I could worship the force of gravity because it causes change on earth, but to what extent would this prayer be answered?
So my image of "god" is simply a huge force field which produces planets and life. But not necessarily a conscious field, something you could talk to. Maybe my perception will change in the future.

Excellent question.
And yes. My life is a prayer. 💘
Thank you for this post. I find it great that you're reminding people that they can connect to God outside of a particular religion. And that prayer is important for humans in general.
Keep it up rev your going places
