Don't you think your ability is enough to position you for a sure and better tomorrow? Don't you think you can actually survive on your own?
As personal as those questions are, I'll want to remind you of a few things I know you know better than I do.
The economic perspective: The future is uncertain.
A young man in my home country goes by the name, "who knows tomorrow?"
A constant reflection on the life of this fellow makes me keep wondering what Jesus meant when He said "for without me you can do nothing." John15:5b. Does He really mean NOTHING!
The Message Bible renders some of the first lines of Genesis chapter one thus:
"Earth was a soup of nothingness, a bottomless emptiness, an inky blackness. God's Spirit brooded like a bird above the watery abyss. God spoke: "Light", and light appeared...(Gen1:2-3)
A man's life, no matter how it appears cannot be better than "A SOUP OF NOTHINGNESS", or better still "A BOTTOMLESS EMPTINESS" if not "AN INKY DARKNESS" until God's Spirit and light shows forth in his life.
Look at what David says in Psalm 121, having tasted life in many ways...I look up to the mountains - does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth! (Psalm 121 NLT).
A vast majority of people think that their high mountains of wisdom and skills, hills of connections and careful planning, high places of ability and agility are all they need in life and living, but great is their folly.
You know why?
Your help can only come from the Lord who made you and all you hope in.
Look at Psalm 20:7 AMP..."Some trust in and boast of chariots and some of horses, but we will trust in and boast of the name of the Lord our God".
Wouldn't you want to do same?
Just as 1 Sam 2:9 explains, "for by strength shall no man - I MEAN NO MAN, including you - prevail.
WHAT MUST I DO NOW???
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil. (Proverbs 3:5-7 NLT)
BOLDLY CONFESS YOUR HELPLESSNESS AND YOUR SINCERE NEED FOR GOD!
For without Him, you can do NOTHING!
Receive more sense as you cruise through this blessed day.
