I went to Vegas maybe 10 years ago for a holiday and for a bit of poker aswell. First time and all that..
It was great sitting at the tables taking it all in.
I had won a few hundred that night playing poker and decided to sit down at a $1 and $2 table and remember sitting opposite an old guy.
We chatted and I kicked his ass a few times and then he asked what I did for a living.. At the time I worked in a factory and told him so.
I asked him if he was still working and he replied that he was the owner of Sonic Burger. A rather large burger chain in the US.
My game changed and I was scared to play him in hands...
because I knew of his wealth and success I couldn't play properly...
Strange. So now I dont ask..

Very interesting story. Yes, Sonic Burger is a large chain here in the US. I could see how that would Tilt your game a little bit. Strange how the brain will automatically prioritize a human being based on material wealth or other meaningless attributes. Probably due to years of mental conditioning from the media, news outlets, internet, marketing and pedestal placing of those with larger levels of wealth accumulation. Nothing actually changed except a psyche shift in your brain. Cool story.
True and true. I have always been scared of wealth and power.
Not so much nowadays as I value my personal attributes more than money or fame.
Back then I did not.
