Splinterlands and botting

I know this topic is a bit controversial, but I want to share with you my view on how this works and what are some good strategies when considering to use a bot.

I’ve seen many people just running a bot with only the starter cards and 1000CP rented randomly, then complaining about win rate and gains. Botting should be approached exactly the same way you would plan your deck when playing manually.

Start by improving your CL cards, this doesn’t have to be something expensive, start doing so by getting some of the cheapest cards for each color and upgrade them to level 2. This way you build up you CP and prepare your deck for higher leagues. Also having this cards would help you avoid some rentals, which in return will give you more DEC rewards.

Don’t forget about the summoners! Having level 2 cards will have no effect if you have a starter or level 1 summoner. You have 2 options to go with, invest and get a higher level summoner, this will require a higher initial investment or continue investing smaller amounts in your monster cards and just rent the summoners.

In time doing so will improve you gains so you could repeat the process and upgrade a new account or start buying the same cards you already have at level 2 but this time as gold foil, then delegate the normal foil cards to a secondary account.

At the moment, the best league to be regarding rewards (chests and DEC) is Silver. Bronze is ok in the beginning of the season, but as the days pass rewards get a lot smaller. If you focus on improving your cards, you can sustain good rewards throughout the entire season.

Another way to improve the botting results is having the 0 mana cards. This gives an advantage especially in lower mana cap games, where having an extra card can be the difference between a win or a loss.

Finally, I hope I don’t upset many people with this post.
