This week's Share Your Battle covers the heinous Magi of Chaos, a 6 mana Neutral magic unit that has absolutely reasonable stats even at level 1, with 2 magic attack, 2 speed, and 5 health.

The Magi of the Chaosium are the heralds of the Legion itself. For hundreds of years they met and studied in secret, gathering ancient artifacts and scraps of forbidden knowledge, much that was once thought lost. As the convergence grew close they plied the void for its treasures and listened furtively to the voices in the dark to make way for the coming of the Lord of Chaos. Once the way was opened and doom poured from the sky they rose from their hidden places to claim the promise of power from their dark masters.
It's sometimes fun to think about how Chaos will be the endgame of all things, when entropy consumes us all. Late night freshman stoner philosophy time amirite?
Though I am disappointed that Magi of Chaos didn't get Scattershot as well for extra RNG flavor. I guess you could always pair em with the new Conqueror Jacek to set em up.
In any case, this post will cover a recent tournament battle that leverages Magi of Chaos' magic attack and solid health. Here's the initial conditions:
It's a relatively high mana battle with Earth and Dragon splinters available. Dragon isn't actually available though because of the tournament restrictions, no legendary summoners (Quix is too legendary).
This is pretty much a mirror match with some minor positioning differences - they picked Spirit Hoarder to heal their Mycelic Slipspawn, and I went with the Regal Peryton for extra offense instead of sustain (remember, I'm too Beefcake Pantyhose Caveman to buy into sustain - https://peakd.com/splinterlands/@anonymouslee/share-your-battle-mycelic-slipspawn).
Good thing for Caveman Sweat Me, 100% offense was a better choice - the Regal Peryton's extra speed and health were the critical factors in this battle. Big Fun!
