This week, Splinterlands challenged its users to showcase a battle using Shadow Snitch. I don't have a leveled-up copy (which I feel is necessary), so I will focus on a different card. That card being Delwyn Dragonscale. Delwyn is dragon summoner that gives +1 magic to all monsters on your side of the field.

Lore

Some time ago, Daria Dragonscale nearly lost her twin brother Delwyn to the Burn that had stricken so many of the scaled. She would have lost him completely, but at his deathbed she hired the services of a dark sorcerer who transferred his soul into a special Heliosoulstone. While he was suspended inside the stone, Daria traveled to the Earth Splinter, where she visited the Flesh Golems in the root of the Elder Tree. With their help, she created a new Golem from fleshy scraps. Delwyn’s soul was transferred into the new Golem, and Daria had her brother back… forever.

Delwyn is fantastic for matches where water and earth are not allowed. That is exactly what happened in this match. I anticipated that my opponent wouldn't choose an anti-magic summoner or any anti-magic monsters. The mana-cap was 44, giving me plenty of mana to work with. I put a beefy tank tank up front with taunt (Shieldbearer), Time Mage in the 2nd position for the magic damage and the slow, Truthspeaker in the 3rd for the +2 Armor to all friendly monsters, Magi of Chaos in the 4th position for raw magic damage, Djinn Renova in the 5th position for magic damage and +1 health to all friendly monsters, and Doctor Blight in the back for damage and affliction (prevents healing).

You can tell that my opponent wasn't expecting magic. He has a Shieldbearer in the 1st position and several support cards in the back. Venari Crystalsmith and Divine Healer to provide healing and Scavo Hireling for shield repair. Because of the amount of magic damage I'm going to be pumping out, those three cards aren't going to accomplish much.

The Lineup

Round 1 - Aftermath

At the end of round 1, all monsters are still standing. My tank has lost all of his shield, but still has 9 health. My opponent's tank on the other hand, only has 2 health and 5 shield. At this point, you already know how the match is going to end.

Round 2 - Aftermath

I finally lose my tank, however, the rest of my team remains untouched. The magic damage is just too much for my opponent to handle. His Divine healer is now in the first position with only 2 health. The rest of his cards don't represent a real threat. Sand Worm is the only card that can do serious damage, but it can't do anything substantial on its own.

Round 3 - Aftermath

In round three I wipe out all his monsters except for his Sand Worm. I don't receive an damage because his Sand Worm misses my Time Mage. The speed difference is just too high (4 versus 1).

Round 4 - Aftermath

I take out his Sand Worm with three magic attacks and that's all she wrote.

Conclusion

Using Delwyn when the Earth and Water splinters can catch your opponent off guard and allow you to win in dominating fashion.
